Makena Resources Inc. (the "Company") (TSX-V: MKN) wishes to announce that it is closed a non-brokered private placeme
--->nt of 7,900,000 units at $0.05 per share, for proceeds of $395,000.  Each unit consists of one common share and one tr
--->ansferrable share purchase warrant exercisable at a price of $0.05 until August 21, 2018 (the "Offering").  The units 
--->in this private placement will have a hold period that expires on December 22, 2014.  

Proceeds of the Private Placement will be used towards general working capital.
