MAVERICK GOLD AND SILVER COMPLETES DRILL PROGRAM AT SILVER VISTA PROPERTY, BRITISH COLUMBIA

The drill program at Maverick Gold and Silver Corp.'s Silver Vista property, located approximately 55 kilometres from Smithers, B.C., has concluded.

The Silver Vista property is composed of 17 mineral claims and covers 6,444.5 hectares, or 64.44 square kilometres. This drill program was focused on the MR zone and was designed to follow up on previous drilling.

The drill program consisted of five NQ sized drill holes for a total of 1,316 metres. Samples from the first two holes have been sent to the laboratory for analysis, and the samples from the remaining holes will be shipped to the laboratory shortly.

"The drilling at Silver Vista was completed ahead of schedule, a testament to the quality of the geological and drilling contractors," stated Ian Foreman, PGeo, vice-president of exploration of Maverick Gold and Silver.

Drilling focused on the MR showing and was designed to follow up on the successful 2021 drilling campaign that intersected 46 metres averaging 48.0 grams per tonne silver and 0.62 per cent copper (or 0.97 per cent copper equivalent) in drill hole SV21-07 and 47.82 metres averaging 37.0 g/t silver and 0.21 per cent copper (or 0.50 per cent CuEq) in drill hole SV21-01.

The historical drill results referenced above were generated by previous operators of the Silver Vista property, which are available in B.C. assessment report 39889 titled "Report on the Diamond Drilling and Geochemistry on the Silver Vista Property" for Norseman Silver dated March 4, 2022, and B.C. assessment report 38072 titled "Diamond Drilling and Geochemistry (Soil and Rock) Report on the Silver Vista Property" for Amarc Resources dated March 15, 2019, and have not been independently verified by the company. The company believes the historical results are relevant as an indication of the exploration potential of the property; however, a qualified person for the company has not completed sufficient work to verify the historical data, sampling procedures, analytical methods, quality assurance and quality control protocols, or chain of custody. The company intends to use the historical information, together with newly collected data and future exploration work, to guide the design of its planned drill program.

Jeremy Hanson, PGeo, a consultant to the company, an independent qualified person as defined under National Instrument 43-101 (Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects), has reviewed and approved the scientific and technical information contained in this news release.
