Globe says "visible path to growth" seen at Minera

2026-06-16 06:52 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday edition that Scotia Capital analyst Ovais Habib has commenced coverage on Minera Alamos with a "sector outperform" recommendation and a $9.50 share target, matching the consensus. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Habib says in a note: "Minera Alamos operates the 100-per-cent owned Pan mine project in Nevada, acquired from Equinox Gold in October, 2025, which is expected to produce 32,000 to 38,000 ounces in 2026 at all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $1,850 to $2,000/oz. The company intends to use Pan as a stepping stone to fund its neighbouring Gold Rock project (15 km southeast of Pan), the Copperstone project in Arizona, and the Cerro de Oro project in Zacatecas, Mexico. Across its portfolio, Minera Alamos hosts total measured and indicated (M&I) resources of 1,781 koz Au, with an additional 1,047 koz Au in inferred resources. In our view, this portfolio provides a visible path to growth, with Pan cash flow supporting advancement of the broader development pipeline." The Globe reported on March 6 that Stifel analyst Ingrid Rico had started coverage on Minera Alamos with a "buy" recommendation and a $9.50 share target. It was then worth $6.74.
