The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 19, edition that following the close of Minera Alamos's $135-million equity financing with proceeds set to help finance its $115-million (U.S.) acquisition of Equinox Gold's Nevada assets, National Bank Financial analyst Rabi Nizami resumed coverage on Minera with an "outperform" rating (all subsequent figures Canadian). The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Nizami gave his share target a 10-cent trim to 55 cent. Analysts on average target the shares at 77 cents. Mr. Nizami says in a note: "The acquisition of Pan and Gold Rock are transformational to Minera Alamos, as the company stands to benefit from immediate cash flows from the producing Pan Gold mine during the currently strong gold price environment. The company aims to use these cash flows to organically support development of its pipeline of development projects in the United States and Mexico."
