Lode Gold completes McIntyre Brook fall drilling

2026-02-23 20:50 ET - News Release

Ms. Wendy Chan reports

LODE GOLD'S SPIN CO, GOLD OROGEN, COMPLETES FALL DRILL PROGRAM AT MCINTYRE BROOK

Lode Gold Resources Inc.'s subsidiary, Gold Orogen, and its joint venture partner have completed the drill program at a key asset in New Brunswick. This asset is situated in a district-scale, 445-square-kilometre land package located in a highly prospective region for gold and polymetallic mineral discovery in northern New Brunswick.

Gold Orogen and its JV partner hold one of the largest underexplored claim groups in this emerging gold camp, with two key properties; McIntyre Brook, adjacent to Puma Exploration's Williams Brook project (which holds an option agreement with Kinross Gold), and Riley Brook, a significantly sized property surrounded by claims recently acquired by Kenorland Minerals. Based on recent results, McIntyre Brook demonstrates the hallmarks of a significant gold-copper discovery opportunity. The highly encouraging results from a geochemistry and overburden stripping work provided an excellent six-diamond-drill-hole program completed in late 2025. Assay results are pending.

Six drill holes targeting the extension of the Lynx zone of the Williams Brook project on the Kinross-Puma ground.

Six diamond drill holes were completed, totalling 847.9 metres. They were designed to test for an extension to Kinross-Puma's Lynx zone along a three-kilometre corridor of geochemical anomalies. Samples have been submitted for assays and results are pending.

About Lode Gold Resources Inc.

Lode Gold is an exploration and development company with projects in highly prospective and safe mining jurisdictions in Canada and the United States.

In Canada, Lode Gold holds assets in the Yukon and New Brunswick. Lode Gold's Yukon assets are located on the southern portion of the prolific Tombstone belt and cover approximately 99.5 square kilometres across a 27-kilometre strike. Over 4,500 metres have been drilled on the Yukon assets with confirmed gold endowment and economic drill intercepts over 50 metres. There are four reduced-intrusive targets (reduced intrusion-related gold system), in addition to sedimentary-hosted orogenic exploration gold.

In New Brunswick, Lode Gold, through its subsidiary 1475039 B.C. Ltd., has created one of the largest land packages in the province with its Acadian gold joint venture, consisting of an area that spans 445 square kilometres with a 44-kilometre strike. It has confirmed gold endowment with mineralized rhyolites.

In the United States, the company is focused on its advanced exploration and development asset, the Fremont mine in Mariposa, Calif. It has a recent 2025 National Instrument 43-101 report and compliant mineral resource estimate that can be accessed at the company's website.

Fremont was previously mined until gold mining prohibition in the Second World War, when its mining licence was suspended. This asset has exploration upside and is open at depth (three stepout holes at 1,300 metres hit structure and were mineralized) and on strike. This is a brownfield project with over 43,000 metres drilled, 23 kilometres of underground workings and 14 adits. The project has excellent infrastructure with close access to electricity, water, state highways, railhead and port.

The company recently completed an internal scoping study evaluating the potential to resume operations at Fremont based on 100-per-cent underground mining. Previously, in March, 2023, the company completed a preliminary economic assessment in accordance with NI 43-101, which evaluated a mix of open-pit and underground mining. The PEA and other technical reports prepared on the company's properties are available on the company's profile on SEDAR+ and the company's website.
