Liberty Gold receives $2.6M (U.S.) in TV Tower sale

2026-10-02 03:24 ET - News Release

Mr. Jon Gilligan reports

LIBERTY GOLD STRENGTHENS TREASURY WITH FINAL US$2.6 MILLION IN NON-DILUTIVE PROCEEDS AS BLACK PINE ADVANCES

Liberty Gold Corp. has received the final staged payment of $2.6-million (U.S.) related to the previously announced sale of its 72.1-per-cent interest in the TV Tower copper-gold project, located in Biga province, northwest Turkey. See press releases dated April 17, 2024, Oct. 7, 2024, and Oct. 2, 2025.

Receipt of the payment completes the total $8.5-million (U.S.) consideration payable to Liberty Gold under the transaction. The sale converted a non-core asset into non-dilutive capital, enabling the company to maintain its focus on advancing the Black Pine oxide gold project in southeastern Idaho.

Since the sale was announced in 2024, Liberty Gold has completed a feasibility study for Black Pine and is advancing the project through formal mine permitting. Black Pine has been designated a covered project under the U.S. federal FAST-41 program. Engineering, project optimization and financing work are advancing in parallel to support a disciplined path toward a future construction decision.

Jon Gilligan, president and chief executive officer of Liberty Gold, commented: "The final TV Tower payment completes the monetization of a non-core asset and adds $2.6-million (U.S.) to our treasury. Over the past two years, Black Pine has moved from prefeasibility to a completed feasibility study and a defined permitting process.

"Our priority is to carry that progress through the next stage of project development. We are advancing the engineering, permitting and financing work needed to support a disciplined construction decision."
