The CHU publicly highlights the tangible benefits of digital follow-up for oral breast cancer therapies; KDA Group thanks the teams of the Centre des maladies du sein and intends to broaden the partnership to other projects serving care teams and patients.

THETFORD MINES, QC, Oct. 21, 2026 /CNW/ -- KDA Group Inc. (TSXV: KDA) ("KDA" or the "Corporation"), a leader in innovative technological solutions for healthcare professionals, wishes to highlight the publication, by the CHU de Québec – Université Laval (the "CHU"), of a post showcasing the results of the Medherize pilot project conducted at the Centre des maladies du sein, and to express its deep gratitude to the clinical, professional and administrative teams that made this project possible.

In its post entitled "L'innovation au cœur du parcours de soins | Des bénéfices tangibles" (Innovation at the heart of the care pathway | Tangible benefits), the CHU states that the Medherize pilot project "demonstrated the potential of digital solutions to optimize the follow-up of people receiving oral therapy for breast cancer" and that "the results obtained reflect greater efficiency in clinical processes, a significant reduction in certain follow-up tasks and a high level of satisfaction." The CHU thanks the teams of the Centre des maladies du sein as well as KDA, "the partner behind the Medherize solution." [Translation of the CHU's French-language post.]

An exemplary collaboration between the public network and a Québec technology company

Deployed from September 2025 to March 2026 with 243 patients treated with CDK4/6 inhibitors, the pilot project was the subject of an independent quality-of-care evaluation (Pro-Acte) conducted by the CHU and completed on June 15, 2026. The evaluation notably found a patient adherence rate of 97%, self-reported weekly compliance of 93%, a 52% reduction in the workload of hospital pharmacists and an 80% decrease in medical consultations and follow-up calls related to monitoring, with no transfer of workload to patients or to community pharmacies. All of the objectives set at the outset of the project were achieved.

"These results belong first and foremost to the teams of the Centre des maladies du sein of the CHU de Québec – Université Laval. From day one, the pharmacists, physicians, oncology nurse navigators and administrative staff agreed to question their ways of working, to confront us with the realities of the field and to measure rigorously, and independently, what worked and what needed to be improved. It is this rigour that gives the demonstration its full value. We are deeply grateful to them, as well as to the CHU's Bureau de l'innovation, which oversaw the project with exemplary discipline," said Jean-Marc Léveillé, Fellow CRIA, President and Chief Executive Officer of KDA.

A shared commitment to pursue and broaden the collaboration

Medherize is a platform developed and hosted in Québec that connects the hospital, the pharmacy and the patient to ensure targeted, safe follow-up of oral therapies, particularly in oncology. It is integrated with the Dossier santé Québec and holds the Trousse globale de vérification (TGV) certification of the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux, valid until June 2030.

KDA intends to maintain and deepen its collaboration with the CHU. The two organizations are continuing their discussions with a view to making Medherize a permanent fixture at the Centre des maladies du sein and to exploring new projects aimed at supporting medical teams and patients, including extending follow-up to other oral therapies and measuring the platform's effect on emergency department visits.

"The CHU has shown that a digital innovation designed with clinicians, for clinicians, can free up care time without compromising the quality or safety of follow-up. We want to build on this achievement, together with the CHU, so that other teams and other patients can benefit from it," added Mr. Léveillé.
