Casey's Energy Report in its July 19, 2010, issue, says hold JNR Resources Inc. (15 cents). The newsletter said buy four times between March 15, 2006, and July 16, 2007, at prices ranging from 73 cents to $3.08. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each buy, the $4,000 investment is worth a pitiable $478. The writer goes over the press releases and does not find much in the way of either inspiration or talking points. JNR released drilling results from a small drill program (2,500 metres) at the Way Lake uranium project east of the Key Lake mine in the Athabasca basin. They were not what he or the market had hoped for. "Unfortunately, they were not the grades we're used to seeing," he said. Discussing plans for Way Lake, the writer intoned in his most recent writeup on the company's affairs (Jan. 20, 2010), "We will be looking at those results to evaluate whether the company is still worthy of our investment." Now he plans to meet with management as part of a Saskatchewan junket, and he will offer some thoughts after the get-together. Another newsletter, Jay Taylor's Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks, said buy on March 27, 2006, at 87 cents and Oct. 3, 2006, at 99 cents. He said sell on Jan. 13, 2009, at 28 cents.
