Mr. Stephen Smith reports
JURA ANNOUNCES MARU-3 COMPLETION AND TEST RESULTS
The development well Maru-3, in the Maru lease, has been completed by Jura Energy Corp. in the Pirkoh limestone formation of Eocene age. During a postcompletion test on a 64/64th-inch choke, the well flowed conventional natural gas at an average rate of approximately 1.02 million cubic feet per day with an average wellhead flowing pressure of approximately 105 pounds per square inch.
The development well Maru-3 was drilled to a total measured depth of 951 metres. After tie-in with the production facilities, the well has been put on production and is currently producing approximately 700,000 cubic feet per day of gas.
The production is expected to increase after a production buildup survey and acid simulation, which are currently planned to be carried out in fourth quarter 2026.
The Maru lease covers an area of approximately 15.41 square kilometres and is situated across the Rahim Yar Khan district of Punjab province and the Ghotki district of Sindh province, Pakistan.
Jura holds a 10.66-per-cent working interest in the Maru lease, which is operated by Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd.
