The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that RBC analyst Sam Crittenden warns falling base metals prices will be significant headwind to second quarter financial results for North American producers. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Crittenden has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Ivanhoe Minerals. The RBC stockpicker continues to target the shares at $17. Analysts on average target the shares at $16.02. Mr. Crittenden says in a note, Ivanhoe prereleased strong Q2 production that was in line with estimates, so we don't expect much of a reaction to Q2 financial results." The Globe reported on March 23, 2021, and Oct. 13, 2021, that Scotia Capital analyst Orest Wowkodaw rated Ivanhoe Mines "sector outperform." The shares could then be had for $6.91 and $9.12. The Globe reported on March 15, 2023, that Mr. Wowkodaw continued to rate the shares "sector outperform." The shares could then be had for $10.66. The Globe reported on May 17, 2023, that Eight Capital analyst Puneet Singh rated Ivanhoe Mines "buy" in new coverage. The shares could then be had for $11.38.
