VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA / TheNewswire / July 31, 2015 - Intercept Energy Services Inc. ("Intercept") (TSX Venture: IES) Intercept held its Annual General Meeting (the "AGM") of shareholders today and is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Steve Ritchie as new member to the Board of Directors.

Mr. Ritchie, or as he is better known , General Ritchie, began his Air Force career as a cadet at the Air Force Academy in the class of 1964. During his second combat tour in Southeast Asia in 1972, then Capt. Ritchie became the only American pilot in history to down 5 MiG-21 enemy fighter airplanes, a record that will probably never be equaled. Thereafter he ran for the US Congress from NC, served in the Reagan Administration and has held various executive positions with civilian corporations. In 1985 he was appointed director of the Office of Child Support Enforcement, reporting to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and in 1987 he was assigned to the Mobilization Policy and Plans Directorate at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Promoted to B rigadier General in the Air Force Reserve in 1994, he became the mobilization assistant to the commander of Air Force Recruiting Service. For six years, he traveled across the United States, speaking to approximately 1,100 audiences in support of Air Force recruiting efforts.

As President of Steve Ritchie Associates, Inc.
