UNIVERSAL IBOGAINE ANNOUNCES OFFERING OF COMMON SHARES

Universal Ibogaine Inc. is undertaking an offering of up to 66,666,667 share units at a price of three cents per unit for proceeds of up to $2-million. Each unit will consist of one common share and a one-half common share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant allowing the holder to acquire an additional Universal common share at a fixed price of six cents per share for a period of one year from closing of the offering.

The proceeds from the offering are intended to be used in completing the company's planned ibogaine-based clinical trial application with Health Canada, including finalizing a supply agreement for ibogaine to be used in the eventual trials, and for general working capital purposes.

Closing of the offering, and the payment of any finders' fees related thereto, is subject to the required approvals of the TSX Venture Exchange
