HIGHLANDER SILVER CLOSES US$40 MILLION STRATEGIC INVESTMENT BY ERIC SPROTT

Highlander Silver Corp. has closed its previously announced non-brokered private placement with Eric Sprott. Pursuant to the private placement, the company issued an aggregate of 8,060,226 common shares in the capital of the company at a price of $6.80 (Canadian) per offered share for aggregate gross proceeds of $40-million (U.S.).

The company intends on using the net proceeds from the offering to finance the advancement of the company's mineral projects and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
