HOME CAPITAL DECLARES COMMON SHARE DIVIDEND

Home Capital Group Inc. has declared a common share dividend of 15 cents per share for the third quarter 2023. The dividend is payable on Sept. 15, 2023, to shareholders of record on Aug. 31, 2023. The dividend is designated as an eligible dividend for the purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and any similar provincial legislation. If the previously announced acquisition of Home Capital by a wholly owned subsidiary of Smith Financial Corp. is completed on or prior to Aug. 31, 2023, record date, shareholders will not be paid the dividend.
