The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Dec. 22, edition that BMO Capital analyst Jackie Przybylowski has reaffirmed her "outperform" recommendation for Hudbay Minerals. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Przybylowski cut her share target back by a loonie to $8.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $9.71. Ms. Przybylowski says in a note: "Hudbay has taken a more conservative approach as compared with the previous owner's 2022 technical report. This is consistent with previous company commentary and we do believe that Hudbay considered a more conservative approach in its acquisition price for Copper Mountain." The Globe reported on Sept. 20 and Dec. 7 that Scotia Capital analyst Orest Wowkodaw had reaffirmed his "sector outperform" recommendation for Hudbay Minerals when it could be had for $6.51 and $6.42. The Globe reported on Oct. 18 that Mr. Wowkodaw had reaffirmed his "sector outperform" recommendation for Hudbay Minerals. The shares could then be had for $6.29.
