HAPPY BELLY FOOD GROUP'S GHOST TACO BRAND SIGNS 25-UNIT AREA DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR ATLANTIC CANADA

Happy Belly Food Group Inc. has signed a 25-unit area development agreement for Ghost Taco across Atlantic Canada, encompassing New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The agreement provides for the development of new franchised Ghost Taco locations throughout the Atlantic provinces, bringing the total number of Ghost Taco units under area development agreements to 120 across seven Canadian provinces.

"Atlantic Canada represents an exciting next step in Ghost Taco's national expansion," said Sean Black, chief executive officer of Happy Belly. "Building on our area development agreements for Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, this new 25-unit agreement extends our reach into four additional provinces while providing the brand with a meaningful opportunity to introduce Ghost Taco's bold, Mexican-inspired menu to new communities throughout the Atlantic provinces."

Happy Belly's growth strategy continues to focus on partnering with experienced operators and area developers to expand its portfolio of emerging restaurant brands through an asset-light franchise model. The company believes this approach provides a scalable path to growth while leveraging the operating experience, infrastructure and local market knowledge of its development partners.
