Goldsky begins 25,000 m drill program at Barsele

2026-09-22 17:14 ET - News Release

Mr. Russell Bradford reports

GOLDSKY RESOURCES COMMENCES ITS FIRST MAJOR DRILLING PROGRAM AT BARSELE

Goldsky Resources Corp. has commenced a 25,000-metre (m) diamond drill program at its 100-per-cent-owned Barsele gold project in Sweden. The campaign represents the company's inaugural drilling program since consolidating 100-per-cent ownership of the project from Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd.

Highlights:

  • First large-scale drilling program at Barsele: a 25,000 m campaign aimed at upgrading and extending the mineral resource at the Barsele deposit;
  • Drilling will focus on Skirasen, Central and Avan zones, where the existing mineral resource remains open both along strike and at depth;
  • Comadev has been awarded contracts for two drill rigs: rig 1 commenced drilling on Sept. 16, 2026, and rig 2 mobilizing by end of September;
  • Arctic Drilling Company (ADC) has been awarded a contract for a third rig, mobilizing for an October, 2026, start;
  • This marks Goldsky's first drilling program at Barsele since the transaction for 100-per-cent ownership, which closed in June.

"Barsele has not seen a drilling campaign of this scale in over eight years and this will be the first undertaken by Goldsky Resources following the consolidation of 100-per-cent ownership of the project," said Russell Bradford, chief executive officer of Goldsky Resources. "This program represents an important milestone for the company. With three rigs expected to be operating by mid-October, our focus is on expanding and upgrading the existing mineral resource while advancing the technical work required to support an updated resource estimate and our maiden preliminary economic assessment. We believe this campaign marks the beginning of the next phase of value creation at Barsele."

The 2026 Barsele drill program

The program comprises approximately 25,000 m of diamond drilling, combining shallow drilling targeting mineralization to a vertical depth of 270 m below surface with a deeper drill hole program planned to reach vertical depths of 720 m to 1,050 m below surface to test depth extensions. The program has been designed to upgrade inferred mineral resources to the indicated category and test extensions to the existing Barsele deposit, which is currently open along strike and at depth. The evaluation of regional targets across the company's broader licence package will be designed and announced in coming weeks.

Drilling will focus on Skirasen, Central and Avan zones, where the existing mineral resource remains open both along strike and at depth. The use of oriented diamond core will improve the company's understanding of the structural and lithological controls on high-grade gold mineralization, and is expected to support an updated mineral resource estimate in 2027.

History of the Barsele gold project

Exploration at Barsele has been continuing for more than a decade. Between 2015 and 2025, Agnico Eagle operated the project through a joint venture with Barsele Minerals Corp., completing approximately 174,500 m of drilling in 453 holes across the Avan, Central and Skirasen zones. This work established the current mineral resource published in a National Instrument 43-101 report, titled "43-101 Technical report and mineral resource estimate for the Barsele project," in April, 2019, by InnovExplo Inc., which is currently being validated by Norda Stelo, based in Quebec, and updated with new information and modifying factors.

Following Goldsky Resource's acquisition of Agnico Eagle's 55-per-cent interest, the company now owns 100 per cent of the Barsele gold project, with Agnico Eagle remaining a significant shareholder. The 2026 drill program is the first to be undertaken under the company's sole ownership and represents the next phase of resource growth and project development.

About Goldsky Resources Corp.

Goldsky Resources is a publicly listed gold exploration company, consolidating assets in Sweden and Finland. The company's flagship asset is the 100-per-cent-owned Barsele gold project in central Sweden. Barsele is host to an indicated mineral resource of 7.88 million tonnes (t) grading 1.27 grams per tonne (g/t) gold (Au), containing 320,000 ounces (oz) Au, and an inferred mineral resource of 28.75 million t grading 1.98 g/t Au, containing 1.83 million oz Au.

Goldsky Resources is the 100-per-cent owner of a district-scale licence position on Sweden's Gold Line greenstone belt, comprising two additional projects (Paubacken, Storjuktan), which, combined with Barsele, total approximately 80,000 hectares.

Additionally, in central Finland, Goldsky Resources is the 100-per-cent owner of a district-scale position covering the entire underexplored Oijarvi greenstone belt, including the Kylmakangas deposit, the largest known gold occurrence on this belt. Goldsky Resources is also the 100-per-cent owner of the Rajapalot gold cobalt project, situated in northern Finland, which has an inferred resource of 9.78 million t, containing 867,000 oz Au at 2.8 g/t Au and 4,300 t cobalt (Co) at 441 parts per million (ppm) Co (NI 43-101 technical report on a preliminary economic assessment of the Rajapalot gold-cobalt project, Finland, effective date of Dec. 19, 2023, prepared for Mawson Finland Ltd. by SRK Consulting (U.K.) Ltd. qualified persons Christopher Bray, Beng (mining), MAusIMM (CP), Ove Klaver, MSc (geology), EurGeol, Eemeli Rantala, MSc (geology), PGeo, Craig Brown, BE (chemistry), GradDipGeosci, FAusIMM, and Mathieu Gosselin, Beng (mining), PEng).
