Mr. Peter Londa reports
TANTALUS ANNOUNCES NEW AI-ENABLED DATA ANALYTICS SOLUTIONS TO HELP UTILITIES ACCELERATE GRID MODERNIZATION
Tantalus Systems Holding Inc. has presented a series of data analytic solutions at its 2026 Tantalus Users Conference in Las Vegas, Nev., designed to help utilities accelerate their grid modernization efforts. The solutions announced include TRUGrid Verify, which leverages artificial intelligence to find and eliminate hidden errors in grid data, as well as enhancements to the company's TRUGrid Reliability and TRUGrid Transformer analytic solutions, which are backed by a new service offering called TRUGrid Advantage.
TRUGrid Verify: a new AI-enabled analytic application
TRUGrid Verify is an AI-enabled analytic application that helps utilities leverage more reliable insights from power quality data and use AI-based automation applications with more confidence by identifying and correcting hidden errors in GIS and AMI data. Through validation of feeder assignments, phase connectivity, service locations, transformer-to-meter mappings and GIS geometry, TRUGrid Verify is designed to take much of the guesswork out of outage management and engineering analysis and to create a more trusted data foundation for long-term grid modernization.
TRUGrid Advantage: expert data analytic services for Tantalus Analytics applications
In addition, Tantalus announced a new dedicated analytic service, called TRUGrid Advantage, for TRUGrid Verify, as well as its existing TRUGrid Reliability and TRUGrid Transformer data analytic offerings.
As has been previously announced, TRUGrid Reliability is an analytic application that leverages TRUConnect AMI power quality data to identify failing assets across the electric distribution grid that can lead to outages or fires. The solution is designed to save utilities time, lower operating costs, reduce risk and enhance operational safety. TRUGrid Reliability is especially relevant for utilities that are managing aging infrastructure and seeking to protect and enhance service quality.
TRUGrid Transformer enables utilities to monitor, anticipate and prioritize transformer issues in near real time. It visualizes transformer loading and health across the grid to support pro-active maintenance, optimized replacement planning and reduced risk of catastrophic failure. The solution is particularly timely as utilities continue to face a continuing shortage of distribution transformers and significant delays in the delivery of new ones.
Now, all three solutions -- TRUGrid Verify, TRUGrid Reliability and TRUGrid Transformer -- can be deployed and supported through TRUGrid Advantage. In this service offering, a data analytic expert leads collaborative sessions with utilities to help them extract even more value from their analytics investments. In this way, Tantalus provides hands-on data training to utilities while translating analytics into immediately valuable and actionable findings.
"Tantalus continues to prioritize the delivery of data-centric solutions that drive better outcomes for utilities. Today's announcement represents a major step forward in that endeavour, not only for Tantalus, but for the growing number of utilities that are prioritizing the use of data to make informed decisions," said Peter Londa, president and chief executive officer of Tantalus. "Our new data analytics solutions and expert services are part of our ongoing commitment to help utilities harness the power of data and modernize their distribution grids in the most cost-effective, lowest risk way possible."
