The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, March 13, edition that ATB Capital Markets analyst Martin Toner has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Galaxy Digital Holdings. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Toner raised his share target for Galaxy Digital to $17 from $13 to reflect a stronger-than-expected rally in crypto-currency prices. Mr. Toner says in a note: "Over the past two months, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) has seen a significant appreciation, rising nearly 64 per cent year to date. Galaxy Digital benefits from the increase in Bitcoin price through numerous levers, such as increased trading volume, lending activity, assets under management, and mining revenue. Another source of value creation is appreciation in Galaxy Digital's book value, of which a significant portion is made up of digital assets held by the company on its balance sheet." Galaxy Digital reports earnings on March 26.
