Granada Gold Mine Inc.

Québec-based finance and operating executive to lead resource growth and advance Granada’s staged development strategy

Rouyn-Noranda, Québec – September 28, 2026 – TheNewswire - Granada Gold Mine Inc. (TSXV: GGM) (OTC: GBBFF) (Frankfurt: B6DA) (the “Company” or “Granada”) is pleased to announce the appointment of J.W. Dumont as President, effective September 28, 2026. Frank J. Basa will continue as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Dumont will lead financing, investor engagement and strategic-partner discussions for the Company’s 100%-owned Granada Gold Project near Rouyn-Noranda, adjacent to the prolific Cadillac Break in Québec’s Abitibi gold belt. His initial priorities will be to plan and finance exploration and drilling to test potential resource extensions along strike and at depth. In parallel, he will work with the Company’s technical team to assess staged development options, including the technical, economic and permitting requirements for the proposed on-site gravity-concentration facility and bulk-sampling program.

“Granada has the ground, the history and a great deal of work already behind it. Now we have to put those pieces to work,” said Frank J. Basa, Chief Executive Officer. “JW understands the numbers, and he has had to make things work on the ground. He has been responsible for operating gold sites, people and budgets. That is the combination we need to get the financing moving and the next stage delivered. Getting the next stage of exploration right gives us a stronger foundation for the much larger opportunity.”

Financial discipline backed by operating experience

Mr. Dumont is a finance and operations executive with experience spanning capital markets, strategic finance and gold mining operations. At GoldFinX, he progressed from Vice President, Finance and Operations to Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations, helping develop the company from an early-stage financing platform into an operating gold business in Côte d’Ivoire. His responsibilities have included capital allocation, budgeting and financial controls, financing and investor engagement, as well as operating oversight across two concurrent mining sites and a peak workforce of 87 employees. He has also structured joint-venture and operating partnerships with publicly listed counterparties and worked with international investors on growth financing.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Dumont worked at RBC Dominion Securities in Montréal, in investment analysis and portfolio support, and subsequently at VIA Rail in corporate strategy and financial planning. Based in Québec and bilingual in French and English, he brings a combination of capital-markets perspective, financial discipline and hands-on operating experience to Granada’s next phase.

“What attracts me to Granada is the opportunity to turn the substantial work already completed into a clear, executable path forward,” said Mr. Dumont. “The broader property gives us significant room to grow the resource. Alongside that work, Granada’s existing authorizations and technical work provide a starting point for evaluating staged development. The task now is to match the scale of the opportunity with the discipline required to finance and deliver it. Each stage should strengthen technical confidence and provide the evidence needed for the next investment decision. I am very much looking forward to taking on this role, helping build Granada’s next chapter and developing long-term relationships in Rouyn-Noranda and across Québec’s mining community.”

Advancing exploration and staged development

Mr. Dumont will work with the Board and the Company’s technical and financial teams to recommend spending priorities. He will set financing objectives and execution milestones for exploration and staged development. Working with the Company’s Qualified Person, he will also support clear communication of the mineral resource estimate and its underlying assumptions.

The appointment follows the Company’s 2026 mineral resource update , supported by an amended technical report dated September 9, 2026 . The update described mineralization open along strike and at depth, with resources delineated over approximately two kilometres of an estimated 5.5-kilometre east–west mineralized structure. The Company also reported that approximately 20% of the property had been explored.

Alongside resource growth, the Company continues to evaluate staged development as a potential path to revenue. This work builds on the ore-sorting results announced on April 28 . The proposed on-site gravity-concentration facility was outlined in the May 26 and June 30, 2026 project updates. Mr. Dumont will assess financing alternatives appropriate to each stage, including potential strategic investment, royalty, offtake or prepayment structures. His objective is to preserve financial flexibility while limiting shareholder dilution where practicable.

The proposed bulk-sampling program is intended to reconcile actual grades with drill-based estimates before any decision on full production; it would not constitute commercial production. Following sampling and grade reconciliation, the Company plans to commission a full feasibility study, as outlined on June 30 . The proposed on-site gravity-concentration facility requires an amendment to the existing permit authorization. Further development remains subject to technical and economic assessment, financing and applicable approvals.

The Company also intends to broaden its Board and strategic-advisory capacity, with an emphasis on mining development, financing, capital markets and community relations.
