The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday edition that National Bank Financial analyst Patrick Kenny continues to rate Gibson Energy "sector perform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Kenny boosted his share target by a loonie to $25. Analysts on average target the shares at $26.38. Mr. Kenny says in a note: "Tapping up our run-rate infrastructure (Gateway) contributions, and based on a bump to our DCF valuation, our target taps up $1 to $25. That said, with continued headwinds on the marketing front, leverage remains perched above the company's three to 3.5 times target range through 2025, before trending back toward 3.4 times (unchanged) by the end of 2026, contingent on marketing contributions rebounding to at least the low end of the longer-term guidance range of $80-million to $120-million. As such, we see limited opportunity to accelerate the organic growth program and execute share repurchases over the near term." The Globe reported on April 25 that CIBC had rated Gibson Energy "outperformer." The shares could then be had for $21.88. The Globe reported on June 18 that TD Cowen analyst Aaron MacNeil had downgraded Gibson Energy to "hold" from "buy." It was then worth $24.27.
