The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, June 16, edition that Stifel analyst Cole Pereira has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Gibson Energy. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Pereira bumped his share target ahead by $3 to $29. Analysts on average target the shares at $25.23. Mr. Pereira says in a note, "We view this acquisition as a positive for Gibson Energy as it creates a new platform of tangible growth for the company, while improving its contract profile, meaningfully growing DCFPS, and maintaining a strong balance sheet." The Globe reported on Feb. 13 that Mr. Pereira began coverage on Gibson Energy with a "hold" rating. Gibson shares could then be had for $23.86. The Globe reported on April 22 that ATB analyst Nate Heywood had reaffirmed his "sector perform" call for Gibson Energy when it could be had for $22.04. The Globe reported on May 18 that Mr. Pereira had upgraded his recommendation for Gibson to "buy" from "hold." The shares could then be had for $22.14.
