FIRST TELLURIUM DEMONSTRATES NEW THERMOELECTRIC GENERATOR IN VANCOUVER
First Tellurium Corp.'s tellurium-based thermoelectric generator, first
announced
in October, 2023, was introduced and demonstrated at a presentation in Vancouver on Tuesday, Feb. 27. The generator was developed in the United States by First Tellurium's 51-per-cent-owned thermoelectric-focused research and development company, which has changed its name from 1406975 B.C. Ltd. to Pyrodelta Energy.
The generator was presented to the gathering by Pyrodelta co-founder Michael Abdelmaseh, who showed how the device generated power from simple changes in temperature, producing energy from the heat of human skin as well as from ice. However, the generator's primary advantages come from its robust construction, low manufacturing costs, ability to withstand temperature extremes and light weight.
"Pyrodelta's new slogan is energy beyond sunlight and Michael certainly demonstrated that. The simplicity, effectiveness and versatility of the device is expected to open up markets not only for solar power, but in the transportation, defence and agriculture industries, as well as in many others," said First Tellurium president and chief executive officer Tyrone Docherty.
Docherty also announced that patents for both manufacturing and intellectual property have now been filed in the United States.
