Fields of Gold identifies soil anomaly at C3

2026-10-19 19:12 ET - News Release

Mr. Reno Calabrigo reports

FIELDS OF GOLD CORP. ANNOUNCES DISCOVERY OF 1.2 KM MULTI-ELEMENT SOIL ANOMALY AT C3 PROPERTY, VANCOUVER ISLAND

Fields of Gold Corp. has released highly encouraging results from its latest soil geochemical program at the company's 100-per-cent-owned C3 property on southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The new data confirm a 1,200-metre multielement soil anomaly, significantly strengthening the property's potential to host a large mineralized system.

The 2026 program infilled the gap between two 2024 soil grids, each of which previously returned strong gold, copper, zinc and barite anomalies open in multiple directions. The newly completed infill grid has connected these anomalies into a coherent trend, marking a major advancement in the geological understanding of the C3 property.

Highlights:

  • Au: The East grid returned gold values of up to 94 parts per billion Au, with additional anomalous values of 75, 51 and 44 ppb Au, whilst the West grid returned a gold high of 218 ppb Au with additional values of 61, 53 and 49 ppb Au. The Infill grid returned significantly higher gold values of 438, 267, 218, 175, 114 and 75 ppb Au.
  • Cu: Copper values of 270, 267, 219 and 201 parts per million Cu were realized from the East grid, with numerous additional samples exceeding 100 ppm Cu. On the West grid, Cu values of 270, 267, 219 and 210 ppm Cu were returned, as well as numerous samples exceeding 100 ppm Cu. The Infill grid returned values of 157, 144, 140 and 131 ppm Cu, with numerous samples exceeding 100 ppm Cu.
  • Zn: On the East grid, 2024 samples returned from 48 ppm to highs of 479 ppm Zn. On the West grid, zinc values ranged from background (80 ppm) to highs of 333, 294, 284, 272 and 266 ppm Zn, with additional samples exceeding 125 ppm Zn. The Infill grid returned values of 310, 215 and 210 ppm Zn, with numerous samples exceeding 130 ppm Zn.
  • Ba: Barite values on the East grid were high, at 571, 479 and 407 ppm Ba, with numerous samples over 100 ppm Ba. On the West grid, samples returned highs of 899, 817, 748 and 566 ppm Ba. The Infill grid returned values of 800, 765, 726 and 571 ppm Ba, with numerous samples exceeding 130 ppm Zn.

The coincidence of gold, copper, zinc and barite anomalies across multiple grids highlights several structurally and lithologically controlled target areas. These results align with historical descriptions of mineralization on the property, including pyrite and chalcopyrite disseminations, quartz-carbonate veining, and malachite-stained shear zones.

A compelling emerging target

The combined 2024 and 2026 soil data sets have significantly increased confidence in the presence of coherent, property-scale geochemical patterns. The continuity of anomalous multielement response over approximately 1.2 kilometres suggests the potential for a large, underlying mineralized system within a highly prospective geological environment.

Priority targets will focus on areas where gold and zinc trends intersect favourable structural corridors, representing the strongest potential for discovery.

Sampling and analysis

A total of 363 soil samples were collected during the program. Samples were analyzed by Activation Laboratories (Kamloops) using 1A2 ICP QOP PGE OES (gold fire assay, 30 grams). Activation Laboratories is accredited to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
