ESSTRA INDUSTRIES WELCOMES RABIH N. BRAIR AS CFO AND ANNOUNCES BOARD UPDATE

Esstra Industries Inc. has appointed Rabih N. Brair as chief financial officer (CFO) and director, effective May 3, 2024.

Mr. Brair, CPA, is a highly experienced financial executive with over two decades of expertise in finance, governance and accounting. As the former chief financial officer of MARS (UAE), a multinational company producing confectionery, pet care and food products, Mr. Brair played a pivotal role in strategically expanding the company's operations in the Middle East.

His comprehensive skills span corporate and merger and acquisition activities, debt and capital markets, operations, financial reporting, and human resources. Mr. Brair has a proven record of successfully negotiating and completing numerous debt and equity deals, fostering and maintaining relationships with international institutions, and leading teams with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.

Mr. Brair has also served as part of senior management and as a director on the board of several companies in the tech sector. With a strong foundation built during his tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Mr. Brair has been instrumental in overseeing all aspects of finance and legal functions, implementing structural controls, governance and fiscal policies throughout his career. Mr. Brair holds a certified public accountant designation earned in 2001 and a bachelor of commerce degree from Concordia University.

Board resignation

The company also announces the resignation of David Atkinson from the board of directors and from the position of CFO. The company extends its appreciation for his dedication and tireless efforts and wishes him continued success in his future endeavours.
