The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Oct. 7, edition that Barclays analyst Theresa Chen has reaffirmed her "equal-weight" recommendation for Enbridge. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Chan gave her share target a $3 boost to $68 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the share at $67.43. Ms. Chan says in a note: "As is typical, we expect Q3 to reflect the lowest earnings across quarters due to normal seasonality impacting Enbridge's diversified footprint. Looking ahead, we continue to think gas transmission will serve as the primary engine of earnings growth from here." The Globe reported on Jan. 7 that Ms. Chen had reaffirmed her "equal weight" recommendation for Enbridge. It was then worth $43.64. The Globe reported on May 13 that Burkett Asset Management manager Kevin Burkett recommended buying Enbridge. It was then worth $44.57. The Globe reported on July 24 that Jefferies analyst Sam Burwell had elevated his recommendation for Enbridge to "buy" from "hold." The shares could then be had for $45.46.
