He could abruptly shut the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline, which transports oil from Alberta to Sarnia, Ont. While such a scenario once seemed unimaginable, it is now a possibility. Therefore, there is a case for a West-East pipeline to Ontario and possibly to access European markets.
