The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Feb. 19, edition that RBC Capital analyst Maurice Choy has reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for Enbridge. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Choy gave his share target a $4 boost to $67. Analysts on average target the shares at $63.37. Mr. Choy says in a note: "With news flow being understandably light heading into Enbridge Day on March 4, we believe the event will offer the market a much-needed refresher on how the company's four core franchises can capture long-term growth in North America's rising energy demand environment and position it to extend its growth rate through the end of the decade. To reinforce its cornerstone position in many energy- and income-focused investment portfolios, investors should expect an uncompromising discipline on capital allocation to preserve balance sheet strength and deliver sustainable return of capital to shareholders." The Globe reported on Dec. 5 that Mr. Choy continued to rate Enbridge "outperform." It was then worth $61.38. The Globe reported on Jan. 7 that Barclays analyst Theresa Chen had reaffirmed her "equal weight" recommendation for Enbridge. It was then worth $61.61.
