ELECTRUM DISCOVERY CORP. OPENS A NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF UP TO C$1.4 MILLION

Electrum Discovery Corp. has launched a non-brokered private placement of up to 20 million units of the company at a price of seven cents per unit for aggregate gross proceeds of up to approximately $1.4-million.

Each unit will comprise one common share of the company and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant will entitle the holder thereof to acquire one common share of the company at a price of 15 cents for a period of 24 months following the completion of the private placement.

The net proceeds of the offering will be used for exploration and development of the company's mineral projects in Serbia and for working capital and general corporate purposes.

Certain insiders of the company may participate in the private placement, and the company may pay finders' fees to registrants who assist the company in connection with the private placement. Completion of the private placement is subject to the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, including the approval of TSX Venture Exchange.

The private placement may be closed in one or more tranches, with a further news release to be issued on closing of the private placement.

The securities issued in connection with the private placement will be subject to a four-month-plus-one-day hold period commencing on the day of the closing of the offering under applicable Canadian securities laws.
