Mr. Johan Wattenstrom reports
DEFI TECHNOLOGIES RECEIVES ADDITIONAL 180-DAY COMPLIANCE PERIOD FROM NASDAQ TO REGAIN COMPLIANCE WITH MINIMUM BID PRICE REQUIREMENT
Defi Technologies Inc. has received written notification from the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC granting the company an additional 180-calendar-day period, or until March 1, 2027, to regain compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid price requirement under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).
The company qualified for the additional compliance period because it satisfies the continued listing requirement for market value of publicly held shares and all other applicable initial listing standards for the Nasdaq Capital Market, other than the minimum bid price requirement. The company has provided written notice of its intention to cure the deficiency during the second compliance period.
The notification has no immediate effect on the listing or trading of the company's common shares, which will continue to trade on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol DEFT. If, at any time during the additional compliance period, the closing bid price of the company's common shares is at least $1.00 (U.S.) per share for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days, Nasdaq will provide written confirmation that the company has regained compliance, and the matter will be closed.
As previously disclosed, the company received an initial notification from Nasdaq dated March 5, 2026, indicating that the minimum bid price per share of its common shares had been below $1.00 (U.S.) for 30 consecutive business days as of March 4, 2026. The company was provided an initial 180-calendar-day compliance period, through Sept. 1, 2026, to regain compliance with the minimum bid price rule.
