The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, March 10, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Zachary Evershed has reaffirmed his "outperform" call for Doman Building Materials Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Evershed gave his share target a 50-cent boost to $12.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $11.38. Mr. Evershed says in a note: "While Q4 fell short of expectations, we are more constructive heading into Q1/26 as lumber cash markets have strengthened, supported by tighter supply and improving demand. Management's outlook this year is a mix of caution and optimism as they warn against expecting anything straying far from roughly flat demand from R&R given the murky outlook, but sounded more positive on new residential demand, as with mortgage rates down from the high 6s, more buyers can engage with the market as affordability pressures ease." The Globe reported on May 13, Oct. 29 and Feb. 25 that Mr. Evershed had reaffirmed his "outperform" call for Doman. It was then worth $8.53, $8.65 and $10.48.
