VANCOUVER, Sept. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Curis Resources Ltd. (TSX: CUV)
("Curis" or the "Company") is delighted to announce the hiring of two
exceptional leaders and professionals in support of the continued
development of the Company's Arizona operations. Effective September
10, 2012, Mr. Bruce Marsh will join Curis as Senior Vice President,
Strategic Affairs and Corporate Development and effective immediately,
Mr. Greg Phillips will assume the role of Process Superintendent. Both
long-time Arizonans, Mr. Marsh and Mr. Phillips will play key
leadership roles in advancing the development of the Company's flagship
Florence Copper project and other interests in Arizona.
Mr. Bruce Marsh is a Professional Engineer with more than 25 years of
senior management, major project development and operational experience
in the copper mining industry. Bruce has held senior management and
executive positions with Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold, Rio Tinto
PLC, Cyprus-Amax and Boeing Aerospace. Most recently he was Senior
Director, Sustainability with Freeport McMoRan and before that,
Environmental Team Leader for the Resolution Project with Rio Tinto in
Superior, Arizona. Bruce has a Master of Science degree in
Environmental Engineering from Oregon State University and a Bachelor
of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of
Florida. In this new role of Senior Vice President, Strategic Affairs
and Corporate Development with Curis, Bruce will play a central role in
project permitting, external relations, the design and implementation
of a comprehensive sustainable development program for the Company's
business interests in Arizona and new project evaluation and
development.
Mr. Greg Phillips is a graduate of Eastern Arizona College and has over
14 years of experience in the fields of mineral processing and solvent
extraction and electrowinning (SX/EW) plant operations, and comes to
Curis from the nearby Carlota Copper operation. In the new role of
Process Superintendent, Greg will be responsible for the planning,
implementation and supervision of Plant Process and Maintenance and
reclamation activities at Florence Copper.
