The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Feb. 23, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Lorne Kalmar has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Crombie REIT. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Kalmar boosted his unit target to $16 from $15. Analysts on average target the units at $15.44. Mr. Kalmar says in a note: "While there was some noise in 4Q, operationally Crombie REIT delivered a very solid result in our view. We like management's laddered approach to larger-scale developments, as well as its continued focus on adding retail GLA at existing sites. Overall, we believe Crombie REIT is well-positioned to continue to deliver steady FFO growth while maintaining solid debt metrics. In light of the REIT's relative valuation vs its peers, we view the current unit price as an attractive entry point." The Globe reported on Aug. 16 and Nov. 21 that RBC Capital Markets analyst Pammi Bir had reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Crombie REIT. The units could then be had for $13.05 and $12.94. The Globe reported on Oct. 5 that Mr. Kalmar rated Crombie REIT "buy." The units were then worth $12.38.
