Gomet lndustries Gompletes Archaeological, lmpact Assessment
for lron Mask lndustrial Park
Kamloops, B.G.: Comet lndustries Ltd. (Comet) is pteased to announce the comptetion of an
Archaeotogicat lmpact Assessment for the lron Mask lndustriat Park, marking another significant
step forward in the devetopment of the 200-acre tight industry industriaI park in Kamtoops.
White not tegatty required, Comet proactivety undertook a comprehensive Archaeotogicat lmpact
Assessment across the entire property to ensure that no cutturatty sensitive sites would be
disturbed during future devetopment. The assessment was conducted in consuttation with 13
lndigenous communities whose traditionat territories overtap the project area.
"Comet chose to do a fut[ archaeotogicat impact assessment across our entire 200 acres to ensure
we woutd not be disturbing any cutturatty sensitive sites," said Mike O'Reitly, President and CEO of
Comet. "The completed Archaeotogicat lmpact Assessment witt atso give future devetopers and tot
purchasers confidence and peace of mind that there is a low tiketihood of encountering
archaeologicaI concerns on the site."
The Archaeotogicat lmpact Assessment reveated no archaeologicat findings on the property, a
resutt that significantty streamtines the devetopment process.

With the archaeotogicaI assessment now comptete, Comet is currently awaiting finaI rezoning
approvats. The last outstanding item is the Ministry of Transportation and Transit review and
approvaI of the project's Traffic lmpact Assessment, which has been futl.y submitted.
This mitestone brings lron Mask lndustriat Park one step ctoser to being abte to sett tots to welcome
new businesses and creating positive, [ong-term economic opportunities for the Kamtoops region.
