CMC ANNOUNCES CHANGES IN BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Graham Chisholm has resigned from CMC Metals Ltd. as director and secretary effective immediately. Mr. Chisholm resigned from the board of directors and will be replaced by Mark Luchinski, current chief financial officer of the company.

John Bossio, chairman, stated: "We thank Graham for his many years of service with the company. We wish him the very best in his future endeavours."

Kevin Brewer, president, chief executive officer and director, noted: "Mr. Luchinski is a welcome addition to the board. We have been seeking an individual with expertise in capital markets, exchange regulations and marketing, and Mark brings all of those qualities to the board of directors. We are continuing our efforts to strengthen the company's board of directors."
