CANOE MINING VENTURES CORP. ANNOUNCES $400,000 NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Canoe Mining Ventures Corp. intends to complete a non-brokered private placement through the issuance of up to eight million units in the capital of the company at a price of five cents per unit, for total gross proceeds of up to $400,000.

Each unit will consist of one common share in the capital of the company and one-half of one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one common share at a price of eight cents per common share until the date that is 36 months from the date of issuance.

The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to acquire and evaluate new mineral exploration properties, to advance existing projects, and for general working capital and corporate purposes.

Closing of the offering is subject to receipt of all necessary corporate and regulatory approvals, including the approval of TSX Venture Exchange. All securities issued in connection with the offering will be subject to a hold period of four months plus a day from the date of issuance and the resale rules of applicable securities legislation.
