The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 10, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Phil Hardie has reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for CI Financial. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Hardie snipped 50 cents from his share target, taking it down to $17, matching the consensus. Mr. Hardie says in a note: "Financial market performance is likely the biggest source of risk, opportunity, and uncertainty for CI shareholders. As such, we continue to view CI as a high-beta play that can offer solid upside through sustained bull markets but outsized downside risk through a steep and protracted market sell-off." The Globe reported on Feb. 28 that Scotia Capital analyst Phill Hardie had reiterated his "sector perform" recommendation for CI Financial. The shares could then be had for $14.97. The Globe reported on May 16 and July 26 that CIBC World Markets analyst Nik Priebe rated CI "neutral." It was then worth $12.59 and $16.38. The Globe reported on Aug. 3 that Barclays analyst John Aiken continued to rate CI "equal weight." The shares could then be had for $16.56. The Globe reported on Oct. 19 that TD analyst Graham Ryding rated CI "buy." It was then worth $13.82.
