The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Feb. 25, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Allison Carson has reaffirmed her "hold" recommendation for Centerra Gold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Carson gave her share target a 50-cent trim to $10.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $11.63. Ms. Carson says in a note: "Heading into 2025, Centerra intends to focus on further development of existing assets, including extending the life of mine at Mount Milligan and development at Kemess. With more than $1-billion in liquidity, we believe Centerra should also be focusing on M&A in 2025 (which has been an overhang on the stock) to grow its portfolio of gold assets and its production profile." The Globe reported on Sept. 18 that BMO Capital analyst Raj Ray was sticking with his "outperform" ranking for Centerra Gold. It was then worth $9.37. The Globe reported on Nov. 6 that CIBC World Markets analyst Anita Soni continued to give Centerra Gold a "neutral" ranking. The shares could then be had for $8.80.
