Evolve Canadian Financials Yield to trade on TSX

2026-07-10 19:56 ET - New Listing

The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that Evolve Canadian Financials Yield Fund will be listed at 5:01 p.m. on July 13, 2026, for trading at the open on July 14, 2026. According to the TSX, there will be 50,000 unhedged ETF (exchange-traded fund) units issued and outstanding, with no securities reserved for issuance. The units will trade under the symbol CFIN, in Canadian dollars and with Cusip No. 30055Y 10 6.

The TSX reports that the ETF seeks to provide exposure to an equal-weighted portfolio of Canadian banks and insurance companies while generating enhanced income through a covered call strategy. The ETF seeks to replicate, to the extent reasonably possible before fees and expenses, the performance of the Solactive Canadian Core Financials Equal Weight Index or any successor thereto. To enhance yield and manage risk, the ETF will employ a covered call option writing program at the discretion of the manager. The level of covered call option writing may vary based on market conditions.

According to the TSX, the ETF expects to pay cash distributions on its units, if any, on a monthly basis, at the manager's discretion. The ETF's manager and trustee is Evolve Funds Group Inc., its transfer agent and registrar is TSX Trust Company at its principal office in Toronto, and its fiscal year-end is Dec. 31. As stated in its prospectus dated July 6, 2026, the ETF is issuing 50,000 units at $20 per unit in its initial public offering. It expects to close the offering on July 13, 2026. The designated market-maker is RBC Capital Markets.
