The Vancouver Sun reports in its Thursday edition that another investment-biz stalwart died this week. The Sun's lobby correspondent, Malcolm Parry, writes Ted Turton had joined Peter Brown in 1968, paying $23,000 for a tiny brokerage that grew into Canaccord Financial, with 2013 revenues of $797.1-million. Mr. Turton's big hit was Pyramid, a 20-cent stock that hit $23. Mr. Parry notes Mr. Turton's Pyramid play led to his lifetime-achievement recognition at the 1994 Howe Street Awards.
