BRASCAN APPOINTS JOHAN SHEARER AS ACTING CEO

Brascan Resources Inc. has appointed Johan Shearer has been appointed as the acting chief executive officer of the company, replacing Balbir Johal, who will be taking a paid temporary leave of absence from the company. Mr. Johal will remain on the board of directors of the company.
