The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Aug. 28, edition that RBC Capital analyst Maurice Choy has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Brookfield Infrastructure Partners. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Choy has an unchanged unit target of $40 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the units at $40.40. Mr. Choy says Brookfield Infrastructure is one of the most under-appreciated names within the Canadian utilities space, offering a record of delivering unitholder value. Mr. Choy says in a note: "While we acknowledge that Brookfield Infrastructure units may not immediately come to mind for some investors in extremely bullish or bearish markets, we find that the combination of its portfolio and unique capital recycling strategy offers investors resiliency that has been demonstrated through various rate cycles since its units began trading in January, 2008. Specifically, Brookfield Infrastructure has delivered 14-per-cent funds from operations(FFO)/unit and 9-per-cent distributions per unit compounded annual growth rates since 2009. ... Valuation-wise, Brookfield Infrastructure units trade attractively at an elevated cash flow yield."
