"Callaghan failed to meet the general standards of loyalty, good faith and avoidance of a conflict of duty and self-interest that was required of him as a fiduciary to BGM"

Harsh words. Glad that BGM wrote them.

"the BCSC quickly became interested"

Heh, heh. Became interested on or around June 28, 2012,...yet the BCSC staff contemplated their collective navels until October, 2015. Those offending news releases were the elephant in the room for BGM investors, yet the BCSC took three years to sanction Frank. The gestation period for an real elephant is only two years.

Good to see that Mr. Callaghan is still active.

And here's ex-BGM director Ian Gordon's comment from December, 2013.

http://www.longwavegroup.com/publications/ians_investment_insights/2013/_pdf/131220_Ians_Investment_Insights.pdf

Angelique Justason of Tenerex GeoServices in Quesnel, consulting on behalf of Barkerville Gold Mines, has compiled this very useful exploration and production data bank for the Barkerville gold trend over the past 12 years from a variety of sources including BC government mining records, annual reports submitted to the BC minister of mines since 1870, historical maps and papers, title searches and surveys, local sources and simply travelling the Barkerville property. It has been said “that if you want to find gold, go to where it already has been found.” This record shows 59 historical locales of gold production on the company’s Barkerville gold trend; note how many are located on Mount Proserpine. Beyond Mount Proserpine is Mount Antler, where there are situated several additional past workings (not shown, top left of the picture). But, the company already has its exploration hands full on Island, Cow and Barkerville mountains, which by themselves could contain 30 to 50 million ounces of gold. Exploration on Proserpine and Antler will have to wait, but the gold’s not going to go away; actually some of it will be washed into the nearby rivers and streams as it has been doing for centuries.

And this exactly the reason that Roger Denmather opts to take his pan into certain rivers leaving the first long weekend in May and returning after the Labor Day weekend. Always smiling, always happy.

Like the monkey who doesn't realize you can't get the banana out of the jar without hurting himself, Frank fails to let go of the banana. It's not your banana anymore Frank. Your PDAC perseverance award was well-deserved but it's someone else's banana now.

Callaghan has been commended by his peers for his tenacity in making Barkerville what it is today. When he was provided a 43 101 report that stated there were 10.6M oz on the property he did what any seasoned promoter would do - he promoted the hell out of it! He didn't calculate the resource - a P.Geo. did. And both got roasted for their parts in it. Well - fast forward a few years and it's looking more and more like there is at least this amount of gold on the property. We only know 1 side of this new law suit. Callaghan is a survivor. I have no doubt he will prevail and continue doing deals and raising capital to find BC's next mine. Go Frank!

Yes, indeed. Lots of work for Standard Engineering, the family and the PR people (and let's not forget the tenacity of the BCSC and its predecessors over the years).

Stockwatch writers and David Bains certainly gave him, BGM and its associated companies lots of coverage; however, as I recall, commendations were in short supply.

Wonder if BGM will accept Blind Creek paper or Standard Engineering drilling in settlement?

Note Ian Gordon's comments in 2013. Note that the property now causing so much angst was staked in 2017.

BGM was obviously sleeping. Now it wants to be rewarded????
