Mr. Brandon Throop reports
BLOSSOM GOLD COMMENCES DRILLING PROGRAM ON THE KAMMA CLAIMS, WEST OF THE ROSEBUD OPEN-PIT, HEAP LEACH PROJECT
Blossom Gold Inc. has commenced reverse circulation (RC) drilling on the company's Kamma claims, located west of the Rosebud project in Pershing county, Nevada. The program follows the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) approval of the company's notice of intent, announced on June 3, 2026.
Highlights:
-
Drilling of Kamma claims, west of the Rosebud project, has begun ahead of schedule;
- Initial 12,000-foot RC program included in the 24-month budget and focused on geophysical and structural targets;
- Potential for discovery at depth due south of Hycroft's Vortex high-grade, underground silver discovery;
- Assay results are expected in Q4 2026 and will inform 2027 drilling on Kamma.
"We are firing on all cylinders at Rosebud with the resources in place to continue executing our plan to confirm, expand and optimize the deposit," stated Rick Winters, chief executive officer of Blossom Gold. "Exploring Kamma has always been a part of that plan and it's a breath of fresh air to see the truth stick turning ahead of schedule. We are focused on making a major mine at Rosebud, but Kamma represents the opportunity and potential for discovery and new wealth creation, true blue sky. We look forward to reporting results as they become available in Q4 2026 and have the budget to continue drilling at Kamma should we have some luck to go with our science."
The Kamma claims are 100 per cent owned by Blossom Gold and occupy a graben setting closely analogous to the Rosebud claim block. The claims host the most significant historic placer production in the area and have yet seen little modern exploration, representing meaningful upside optionality for a new discovery outside the Rosebud project. Work completed to date suggests the Kamma claims are prospective for hosting potential primary structures that provide the plumbing for mineralization to the adjacent Hycroft mine, including the Vortex silver discovery, which is among the most promising high-grade silver systems in the region. The 2026 Kamma claims two-year exploration budget includes the geologic mapping and geophysics already completed, the initial RC drilling campaign now under way, and follow-up programs and drilling contingent on success, all of which were part of the company's 24-month budget.
The initial, 12,000-foot (3,660-metre) RC program targets aeromagnetic anomalies interpreted to represent structural conduits for mineralizing hydrothermal fluids, building on the geologic mapping, surface sampling and airborne geophysics completed to date. Assay results from the program are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 and will inform 2027 drilling on Kamma.
"With the aeromagnetic survey and surface mapping complete, we now have a clear structural and stratigraphic framework to test with the drill," commented Dr. John DeDecker, vice-president of exploration for Blossom Gold. "Stratigraphic and structural investigations indicate that mineralization at Rosebud occurs along conjugate fault sets within several units of the Kamma Mountain volcanics. Faults of similar orientations occur at Hycroft and based on aeromagnetic data are inferred to occur beneath sedimentary cover at Kamma. The identification of Badger formation conglomerate rocks places the Kamma claims stratigraphically between Hycroft and Rosebud. The combination of favourable structures and stratigraphy makes Kamma a compelling target for the maiden drill program in this area."
About Blossom Gold Inc.
Blossom is a Canadian-based precious metals exploration and development company that recently began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol BGAU. Blossom acquired the Rosebud project in connection with the TSX listing and will be focused on the exploration and development of the project. The Rosebud project includes the former Rosebud mine, where mining was conducted from 1997 through 2000 by the Rosebud Mining Company, a Newmont-Hecla joint venture, using underground mining methods where the mine operated at a cut-off grade of approximately 0.2 ounce per ton gold (6.8 grams per tonne gold), when gold prices ranged from $250 (U.S.) to $350 (U.S.) per ounce, with mined material truck hauled approximately 120 miles to an existing Newmont oxide mill for processing.
The current vision for the Rosebud project is to evaluate the remaining higher-grade mineralization and the surrounding larger volume of lower-grade mineralization as a potential open-pit mining operation with on-site, heap-leach processing and recovery of gold and silver. The Rosebud project currently hosts an inferred mineral resource of 70,755,000 tons grading 0.62 gram per tonne gold (0.018 ounce per ton gold) and 6.49 grams per tonne silver (0.189 ounce per ton silver) for 1.28 million ounces of gold and 13.4 million ounces of silver. The mineral resource estimate was open pit constrained using long-term gold and silver prices of $2,500 (U.S.) and $35 (U.S.) per ounce, respectively. The deposit is open in all directions.
