BELMONT RESOURCES APPOINTS KEN WHEATLEY, P.GEOL., M.SC., AS SENIOR GEOLOGICAL ADVISOR FOR THE CRACKINGSTONE URANIUM-REE PROJECT

Belmont Resources Inc. has appointed Ken Wheatley, PGeol, MSc, as senior geological adviser to the company's 100-per-cent-owned Crackingstone uranium-rare-earth-element project, located within the historic Beaverlodge uranium district near Uranium City, Sask.

Crackingstone is a fault-hosted, Beaverlodge-model uranium project covering approximately four kilometres of the Black Bay shear zone and hosting four past-producing uranium mines. The property is strategically located approximately six kilometres west of Uranium City, Sask. Its close proximity to the historic uranium mining centre provides important logistical advantages, including access to existing infrastructure, transportation and local services that can support exploration activities and future development. The property is drill-permitted.

Mr. Wheatley brings over four decades of uranium exploration experience in the Athabasca basin, most recently as vice-president, exploration, with Forum Energy Metals Corp. (2007 to 2023) and previously as district geologist, east Athabasca, with Areva Resources Canada Inc. (1998 to 2007). His earlier career included senior technical roles with Uranerz Exploration and Mining Ltd., Total Minatco Ltee./Ltd., and Amok Ltee./Ltd., during which he was involved in the discovery and delineation of several major Athabasca basin uranium deposits, including Midwest A, Maybelle River and Sue deposits, and the Dominique Janine deposits at Cluff Lake. He holds an MSc (1985) from the University of Saskatchewan and a BSc (1980) from Laurentian University, and is a registered member of APEGS and NAPEG.

The Crackingstone uranium project has an enormous amount of historical exploration data, and we have been using AI to compile that data and delineate high-quality targets. Ken is now working with us, and combining his decades of hands-on uranium exploration experience with AI's ability to rapidly synthesize and cross-reference decades of historic drilling, geophysics and geochemistry has already sharpened our view of where the next holes should go."

As previously disclosed in the company's news release dated Feb. 3, 2026, Belmont's reassaying of selected intervals of historic drill core at Crackingstone identified multiple intervals exhibiting elevated uranium and rare earth element concentrations, including several zones where uranium and REE enrichment occur together. Mr. Wheatley is working with the company to incorporate this uranium-REE potential, together with the project's structural and geophysical data, into the design of the next phase of exploration and drilling at Crackingstone.
