The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that BCE Inc.'s cumulative redeemable first preferred shares, Series AJ (symbol BCE.PR.J), will be halted at the open and delisted at the close on Aug. 4, 2026. According to the TSX, all of the issued and outstanding Series AJ preferred shares will be converted, on a one-for-one basis, into cumulative
redeemable first preferred shares, Series AI, of the company (symbol BCE.PR.I) on
Aug. 4, 2026, following the conversion period, which
commenced on June 17, 2026, and ended at 5 p.m.
Eastern Time on July 22, 2026.
In accordance with the rights, privileges, restrictions and
conditions attaching to the Series AJ preferred shares and the Series AI preferred shares, since there will be fewer than
two million Series AJ preferred shares outstanding on Aug. 4, 2026, after having taken into account the Series AJ
preferred shares tendered for conversion into Series AI
preferred shares and the Series AI preferred shares tendered
for conversion into Series AJ preferred shares during the
conversion period, all Series AJ preferred shares will be
automatically converted into Series AI preferred shares on
Aug. 4, 2026 and the symbol BCE.PR.J will be delisted.
The TSX notes that as the Series AI preferred shares and Series AJ preferred
shares are held through the book-entry-only system of CDS,
holders of Series AI preferred shares and Series AJ preferred
shares need not take any action with respect to the
conversion.
