The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, July 16, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Jerome Dubreuil, in a client report titled Playing the longer game through more pricing discipline, has reaffirmed BCE as his "top pick" in the sector. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dubreuil has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation and $43.50 share target. Analysts on average target the shares at $37.39. Mr. Dubreuil says in a note: "We expect a relatively quieter quarter at BCE now that management has largely established its strategic roadmap. Telecom operations remain under pressure, but we anticipate positive announcements on AI in the coming quarters. We view the shares as undervalued on 2028 estimates and believe the market could increasingly begin to anchor its valuation on that year over the next six months."
