TIGER FINANCIAL SERVICES RECEIVES AN ORDER FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1,000 POINT OF SALE PAYMENT DEVICES FOR DEPLOYMENT IN VIETNAM
One of Tiger Financial Services Inc.'s commercial partners in Vietnam has ordered an additional 1,000 point-of-sale devices for deployment across its merchant network in Vietnam.
This additional order expands Tiger's payment technology footprint in Vietnam and reflects the continued growth of its relationship with its commercial partners. Through established financial institution partnerships, Tiger is increasing the deployment of its payment infrastructure across a growing base of merchants and businesses. As Vietnam continues its transition toward digital and cashless payments, Tiger's objective is to expand the number of installed base positions to participate in the long-term growth of the country's payment ecosystem.
Ben Aissa, chief executive officer of Tiger Financial, stated: "A repeat order is the clearest validation a technology company can receive. Our commercial partner has seen Tiger's payment technology perform in the field, and they are now putting it in front of more of their merchants. This is exactly how our model is designed to work: to scale through licensed financial institutions that already own the merchant relationship, which allows us to grow quickly and efficiently while strengthening our position in one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing digital payments markets. Vietnam's shift to cashless payments is reaching merchants across multiple categories, and we intend to pursue further deployments across thousands of merchant locations as demand continues to build.
"The market dynamics we are seeing in Vietnam share similarities with those we experienced in Qatar, where our team built QPAY International into a leading fintech company before its acquisition by Qatar Islamic Bank. We are drawing on that experience as we develop our strategy for Vietnam, while leveraging an enhanced technology platform and pursuing a broader addressable market."
In addition, Tiger is pleased to announce that it has granted an aggregate of 200,000 stock options to certain advisers of the company. The options have an exercise price of 65 cents per share and an expiry date of five years from the date of grant. One-third of the 150,000 of the options will vest on the first, second and third anniversaries of the date of grant, respectively, while one-half of the 50,000 of the options will respectively vest on the first and second anniversaries of the date of grant, respectively.
