The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Nov. 14, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Michael Doumet has reaffirmed his "sector outperform" ranking for AtkinsRealis Services, formerly called SNC-Lavalin Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Doumet boosted his share target by a loonie to $52. Analysts on average target the shares at $49.08. Mr. Doumet says in a note: "At the beginning of 2023, AtkinsRealis Services organic growth was guided at 5 per cent to 7 per cent. That got bumped up in 2Q, and then again in 3Q such that organic growth is expected to be 10 per cent higher (at the low- and high-end) than it was at the start of the year. The core engineering services and nuclear are driving outsized momentum. Given the supportive backdrop and the businesses' favorable positioning, we view this level of revenue as a 'new baseline' in which to grow from in 2024. That being said, although not impossible, achieving double-digit organic growth in 2024 may be hard to stack on 2023's upside surprises. The other story is margins. Given the strong organic growth, we would have expected more margin expansion, particularly as it related to engineering services."
