Asiatel appoints management in four areas

2026-10-27 18:48 ET - News Release

Mr. Jasjit Anand reports

ASIATEL APPOINTS LEADERS FOR FOUR GROWTH AREAS AS IT MOVES INTO SPECIALIST SERVICES AND AI SOFTWARE

The senior leadership team responsible for delivering Asiatel Outsourcing Inc.'s growth plan is fully in place. Strategic appointments have been made in key areas of the business: Asiatel knowledge process outsourcing (expertise), the company's specialist service business; sales and implementation of artificial intelligence software for clients; the use of AI inside Asiatel's own operations; and direct sales in Canada.

Asiatel runs day-to-day business operations in Manila for client companies, including customer support, accounting, sales support and information technology help desk, with more than 500 staff. Revenue is expected to reach about $10.8-million in 2026, up from $8.3-million in 2025, with gross margin at 13 per cent for the first half of 2026 and full-year gross margin expected to remain consistent with the company's historical performance. The new team is focused on building specialist knowledge process outsourcing services and software sales on top of the existing foundation.

Miguel Enriquez, executive vice-president, Asiatel KPO (expertise)

Mr. Enriquez joins from Enshored, where, as country head, he played a major role in building the operation from 50 to 2,500 full-time staff over seven years. At Asiatel, he will build Asiatel KPO, which provides teams of skilled professionals, such as engineers, cybersecurity analysts and finance specialists, for judgment-based work that clients would otherwise hire senior staff to do. This work is expected to earn higher margins than the company's core operations.

Mr. Enriquez brings nearly a decade of experience building and scaling delivery organizations in the Philippines, expanding BPO businesses from start-up operations to enterprise scale. He holds a master of science in finance from the University of Bradford School of Management in the United Kingdom, a master's degree in operations and logistics from ESAN Graduate School of Business, and a bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering from the National University of Engineering.

P.J. De Mesa, vice-president, Asiatel digital and artificial intelligence

Mr. De Mesa leads Asiatel's AI and technology business, overseeing enterprise commercialization, strategic technology partnerships and market expansion. His mandate encompasses bringing international technology platforms into the Philippine market, developing enterprise opportunities, and establishing the commercial and delivery partnerships required for local adoption.

He spearheads Asiatel's strategic partnership with fileAI, an AI-powered document intelligence and workflow automation platform serving banking, lending and other regulated industries. Since the practice's launch in June, 2026, Asiatel has initiated engagements with more than 15 Philippine banks, lenders and financial institutions, including major universal banks, with several progressing toward proof-of-concept evaluations and procurement discussions.

Mr. De Mesa brings more than a decade of enterprise technology sales and market development experience across Asia Pacific, including senior commercial roles at Oracle, Avaloq and Backbase. His commercial expertise spans cloud infrastructure, enterprise databases, platform-as-a-service, cybersecurity, managed services, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, data analytics, system integration, low-code and no-code platforms, robotic process automation, business process management, core banking, and digital banking.

He has owned complex, multistakeholder enterprise sales engagements end to end from opportunity origination and executive engagement through commercial negotiation and deal closure, with account responsibility extending into retention and expansion. His experience includes engagements with Tier 1 financial institutions and major enterprises across the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, alongside establishing partner-led market access for international technology providers entering the Philippines.

He holds a bachelor of science from the University of the Philippines Los Banos, part of the country's highest-ranked university system according to the QS World University Rankings 2027. His professional development includes vendor-led sales accreditations across enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, analytics and business applications.

J.T. Antolin, assistant vice-president, AI transformation and solutions

Mr. Antolin leads the use of AI across Asiatel's own operations, with the aim of improving productivity, quality and margins in the core business. A key initiative under his leadership is AI CX, Asiatel's agentic AI solution for customer experience, which handles routine inbound inquiries and outbound calls, and hands complex cases to live agents with full context. The company is piloting AI CX in its own operations before offering it to its clients in banking, financial service and other industries.

Mr. Antolin has over 14 years of experience in enterprise technology, AI transformation, customer success and program management, including a decade in the telecommunications industry at PLDT, where he launched Asia's first fibre Internet-based OTT box, which streamed live TV and Netflix in a single device. At BPI, he handled the bank's real-time payment rails under digital channel group. He also worked with an AI start-up based in Singapore where he led AI transformation initiatives for major fintech companies, banks and financial institutions, telecommunications providers, and enterprise organizations across the Philippines, working with senior executives to implement AI-driven solutions that improve customer experience, streamline operations and accelerate digital transformation. He holds a master of technology management from the University of the Philippines.

Enida Caku, Canadian account executive

Ms. Caku leads Asiatel's direct sales and business development efforts in Canada, focusing on expanding the company's market presence, building strategic client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. She brings more than a decade of international experience in sales and business development across Canada and Europe. Her background includes leading sales teams at Vodafone, where she delivered consistent revenue growth, and managing more than 120 Google Ads client relationships per quarter as a digital account strategist at Teleperformance Canada.

Her expertise spans business-to-business sales, SaaS, digital marketing, client acquisition and relationship management, positioning her to drive Asiatel's Canadian sales pipeline and support the company's expansion into new market segments. She holds a master's degree in chemical engineering and a bachelor's degree in environmental chemistry from the University of Tirana.

Joe Zorene De Guzman, assistant vice-president, cybersecurity

Mr. De Guzman leads the company's cybersecurity practice, which covers building the managed SOC as a service offering, delivering security advisory and JumpCloud identity and device management services to clients, and guiding data protection and compliance across ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS and the Philippine Data Privacy Act.

He leads the deployment and management of JumpCloud's cloud-based identity and device management platform across 2,000-plus computers and laptops, implementing SSO, MFA, cloud directory, user life cycle management, VPN authentication, MDM, patch management, remote access, asset and SaaS management, and related security features. Additionally, configures Google Chrome browser cloud management and network authentication, strengthening identity security, streamlining user provisioning and application access, and enabling centralized management of enterprise users, end points and browser policies.

He brings nearly 12 years of IT experience, having advanced from Level 1 support to leading IT operations at a BPO company, supporting more than 2,000 employees across multiple sites. His expertise spans IT infrastructure, network security and cybersecurity, with key projects including an enterprise JumpCloud implementation, three office floor expansions and a Google Workspace security assessment with Globe Telecom. He holds a bachelor's degree in information technology, majoring in networking, from AMA University.

His credentials include being one of the 1,141 cybersecurity professionals recognized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology, holding the expert Level 3 designation, the highest ranking in its cybersecurity professional classification, Appkademiya's certified cybersecurity professional, six JumpCloud certifications, CNSS, Fortinet NSE 1 and 2, ISO/IEC 27001 information security associate, ITIL 4 Foundation, and Lean Six Sigma yellow belt.

"Our clients rely on us to address their business challenges with the specialized expertise and solutions they need to move forward," said Jasjit Singh Anand (Andy), chief executive officer of Asiatel. "Our plan is to expand our service offerings with existing clients while growing in new markets such as Canada, using specialist teams and marketing and implementing AI applications. Each of these key growth areas within the business are now ready to launch, and investors will be able to track their progress in our quarterly results."
